TekaPIM is a collection of HyperCard applications for Personal Information Management on a Macintosh.
Here is a description of the individual programs:
TCHome & Context: These are utility programs which contain much of the framework, icons, and common functionality of TekaPIM. There are many useful HyperTalk functions in these programs, which may be of interest to those who write HyperTalk or want to. Notice that not all of the buttons in TCHome or in the navigation palette will function because they have either not been released or not been implemented.
Person: This is your basic rolodex for keeping track of people.
Organisation: This is your basic rolodex for keeping track of organisations such as companies, charities, school groups etc.
To Do: This is an uncluttered and easy to use calendaring program to keep track of things to do, projects which you are working in other stacks, and messages/mail which you are expecting.
Thought: This is essentially a logbook program. Most use it to type in their thoughts. Some may use it as a diary. You'll notice a logbook icon in the lower right hand corner of the To Do program. When you select a To Do item and click this button, the To Do item is timedatestamped and moved to the appropriate page in Thought. This is easy way to keep track of completed tasks.
UnitConversion: BONUS! This program enables you to convert between a variety of different units in such categories as Length, Area, Volume, Time, Weight, Angle etc.
For help on what fields are what in the various programs, hold down the command and shiftkeys, and text descriptions will popup above the fields.
TekaPIM requires HyperCard 2.0 or later and a Macintosh with at least 2 MB of memory.
UnitConversion is freeware, I hope you keep it and enjoy it regardless of whether you keep the rest of TekaPIM or not.
The other individual programs in TekaPIM are US$5 shareware each, however, all of TekaPIM as a whole is only US$20 shareware, which is less than the sum of its parts.
Because TekaPIM is shareware, it is supported by your honesty and integrity. The fee registers you as a user of the programs paid for and upgrades for a year. Cost of distribution is not covered. If you want to be explicitly mailed upgrades, you need to add US$5 per mailed upgrade that you want. However, if you send me your internet address when you register, you will be notified when updates are posted. I encourage comments and suggestions. I am pretty good about putting them into future versions.
